This beach in the eastern coast of Sri Lanka is dubbed the surfers paradise.
It is the 11th best surf beach in the word and sits high and mighty as the 3rd best in Asia. It features a wonderful coastline and monster waves sometimes almost high as 20 feet during surfing season. During season, you can witness international surfing competitions which are just cool in itself.
Regardless vising there in season you can have a pretty good surfing experience. If you want to take your surfing obsession further then you would be happy to know that wind surfing is available too. Also this beach is full of lifeguards and coaches so you too can learn to surf and ride a few waves before going back home.
